When people find out that I’m a marathon runner, they think that I probably don’t see my family much. When I got into running I always wanted to make sure that there was still a balance in all of my life. A balance between God, Family, Work, and other stuff, such as running. When my daughter was in soccer, my long runs were scheduled around her soccer games. As well, I usually run my weekday runs early in the morning before anyone gets up.
All that to say… that yes, I’m a Marathon Runner, but better yet, I’m a Dad who Runs! I follow a lot of inspiring runners and active people. One of them that I follow is Dan over at Cubicle Dad Runs. He has been profiling dads that run for quite awhile. I got to share my story of being a Dad Who Runs on his blog. Check it out! Also, if you’re on Twitter, follow him. He’ll be in the Lone Star state in February for the Austin Marathon.
