I didn’t do very well in January with sticking to the schedule. I ran 55 miles in January. Mileage picked up in February and I did each of the runs. I ran 101 miles for the month of February. Yeah! I love 100+ mile running months. There’s a great sense of accomplishment with running that number of miles in a month.
There were so many reasons not to run… too cold, too tired, too busy, too something, etc. etc. There are always reasons not to run, but you’ve got to stay focused on your biggest reasons to run… Marathon Goal, PR Goal, joy of being out there.
I’ll be shooting for the same goal in March. I believe that if anyone sticks with a proven training schedule, they can succeed and complete a marathon!
