2 Weeks Without Running

MarkToday marks the second full week without running.  The picture to the right is that last run.  I ran the DRC Frigid 10K (6.2 miles) in 57:02.

I cannot wait to get out there and run again especially with all of these 60 degree days coming up.  My brain says YES, but my feet says there’s NO way!  I’m recovering well, but every once in awhile, I get a jolt of pain in my feet.  I started driving yesterday.  Doing pretty well with applying more pressure.

I get the stitches off on Tuesday.  The foot doctor said that 2-3 days after that, I can start doing elliptical and light cardio.  Then a week after that I can start running.  I need to start training for the Half Marathon in OKC at the end of April.  I paid for the entry fee so I’m committed.

My heart feels great so far.  Time will tell on that one.

im day 73 w/o running. :( good to see that you are doing so well though! if you ever feel frustrated about not running, you can read my saga on my blog. ha! i did get to swim today. that was exciting. :) hang in there, you are doing great!
