Mark Lindsley here! I've watched so many of my friends working the blog world, that I thought I'd dip my toe in. Why? I think I have some thoughts and ramblings to share. Also, as of late, I've been inspired. Inspired by two special people in my life, my sister, Denise and my friend, Pastor Jesse.
First of all, my sister, Denise defies my comprehension! My mild mannered sister is a marathon runner! She is not shooting for first place, but for the finish line. (at least that's what I think) I would have never thought that Denise would have been a marathon runner. Debbie, the oldest of us Lindsleys, has been the one blessed with the athletic and competitive genes. I got the competitive gene, but Denise must have stole the athletic gene from me. Anyway, Denise inspires me by her drive and love of running. It's not natural for me to say those two words in the same sentence - "love" and "running". I asked her why she likes or loves to run... she says the she likes to eat! Good answer! She recently ran in the Akron Marathon and here's a picture of her finishing. I think she ran the half marathon event. That sounds shorter, but I get queezy thinking about running a half mile. When I need to be inspired, I call her... I love to hear her excitement for not only running, but for her family! She rocks! Yes, my two other sisters are awesome, but we'll brag on them later. I'm so excited that Denise will be coming to Dallas for the White Rock Marathon in December. I only get to see my family once or twice a year so it's always a special occasion when we can catch up.
Secondly, Pastor Jesse Daniel, inspired me this morning with his discussions of what wives need from husbands. It was great to hear what other husbands were doing for their wives. I feel like I'm doing a pretty job in this role, but I know I can always do better. This is something that I think I can share with others. What I do for my wife or try to do and what I've learned from others. Pastor Jesse leads our Life Group called Marriage Unlimited at Grace Outreach Center.
So... I'm planning on sharing the following on this blog...
God only knows!
If you've made it this far in this posting, congrats and thanks. Nonetheless, I look forward to sharing with you and hearing your comments.
